Napa Firewise Adds Technology-Informed Leadership to Support Evolving Wildfire Risk

March 2, 2026

Napa,CA— Building wildfire resilience at the countywide and regional scale requires systems that can adapt over time and support the many critical partners doing this work. Napa Communities Firewise Foundation (Napa Firewise) is pleased to welcome Henrik Rosendahl to its Board of Directors, bringing a technology-driven and forward-thinking perspective to help navigate that complexity.

Henrik brings experience building and scaling technology-enabled companies focused on sustainability, infrastructure, and environmental innovation. His perspective supports Napa Firewise’s collaborative work by helping translate data and tools into shared systems that can grow, adapt, and remain relevant as wildfire threat continues to evolve.

“My focus is on applying technology, systems thinking, and community collaboration to build safer, more resilient communities in the face of increasing wildfire risk,” said Rosendahl. “Resilience depends on our ability to think ahead and design approaches that can scale as conditions change.”

Wildfire resilience is deeply embedded in Henrik’s daily life. He lives full-time with his family in the Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) on Oakville Ridge, where he built one of Napa County’s first fully off-grid homes. Since 2017, his family has experienced multiple wildfire evacuations and the loss of insurance coverage on both of their properties—bringing firsthand understanding of the long-term implications of wildfire risk for families and communities.

“Henrik brings to NCFF his extensive experience in utilizing technology to support the relationship between prevention and fuel mitigation, translating local knowledge and widely accepted practices into data-driven systems that wildfire resilience depends on.” said Board Chair, Christopher Thompson. “His perspective will assist us in evaluating how shared tools and systems can strengthen collaboration and scale with what’s already working.”

Originally from Denmark, Henrik immigrated to the United States in 1997 and moved to Napa in 2006. He is a serial technology entrepreneur and currently leads Spiio, a company developing environmental sensor technology for sustainability and agricultural applications. He also serves on boards spanning renewable energy, health-tech AI, and carbon-neutral data infrastructure.

Henrik joins the Napa Firewise Board as the organization continues to support community-led efforts, strengthen partnerships with agencies and landowners, and invest in approaches that help wildfire resilience efforts connect and scale over time.
