Community Tour: Angwin-PUC Wildfire Fuel Reduction
June 24 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am
Join Napa Communities Firewise Foundation’s Wildfire Preparedness Team, Angwin Fire Safe Council, Pacific Union College, and Napa County to learn about the recent project to remove huge volumes of wildfire fuels and invasive broom. By removing ladder fuels, thinning vegetation, and clearing dead debris, we have been able to collectively enhance resilience for large areas across the Angwin Community.
This community tour will explain how tools and treatment methods were selected, identify and explain challenges, talk about how collaborative efforts made a difference, and what residents can do to implement this type of work in their neighborhoods.
Attendees should wear sturdy closed toes shoes, bring water, and be comfortable walking on uneven terrain.
Please park behind Winning Hall at Pacific Union College, directional signage will help ensure you can find the group for the community tour. Space is limited to 30 individuals, please RSVP.
