Transhumance Festival – Petaluma
April 11 @ 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
The Transhumance Festival is an annual celebration dedicated to reconnecting people with the land. The festival reintroduces the age-old practice of transhumance—the seasonal movement of livestock between grazing grounds, a tradition that supports healthy landscapes and sustainable agriculture.
This free public festival brings the community together through demonstrations, hands-on learning, music, and local food while exploring topics like land stewardship, soil and watershed health, and how we rethink our waste streams.
