St. Helena Emergency Preparedness Meeting

June 30, 2019 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Free

On Sunday June 30th, Grace Church will focus on preparation for disasters and imminent power shut-offs for this summer and fall. Grace Church has been designated as an emergency evacuation center for St. Helena and cooling center in the event of a disaster or extended power shut-offs anticipated by PG&E. For this reason, we have set aside Sunday, June 30th, in order to better prepare our congregation and community for such occurrences.

This service will have the regular liturgy and a sermon. After the Peace there will be a brief introduction about emergency preparedness by our County Supervisor, Diane Dillon, who is spearheading this program for the County. Following the service, from 10:30 AM until Noon, in the Newton Room, representatives from the City of St. Helena, American Red Cross, COAD (Community Organizations active in Disasters), Napa County Sheriff’s Office, St. Helena Fire and Police Departments and others will be at individual tables where they will have brochures and can answer any questions you may have.

Please join us and learn how to be better prepared for your family and neighborhood community. We especially wish to invite visitors and neighbors to join us for this informative event.

Refreshments will be provided by the Emergency Preparedness Team of Grace Church.
