Every Household Should Have an Evacuation Tag

Help first responders save lives

To prepare for future emergencies, the Napa County Sheriff’s office is requesting that every residence have one evacuation tag. These tags are for residents to place on their mailboxes, gates, fences, or doors before evacuating their property. They will save first responders considerable time and allow them to clear neighborhoods more quickly and quite possibly save lives. The less time they spend clearing a property that has been evacuated, the more time they can spend on assisting people who do need help.

Tags are free and can be picked up at any of the locations listed on the County of Napa website.
