On May 16, 2026, the Berryessa Highlands Fire Safe Council hosted its annual Community Meeting in conjunction with Wildfire Community Preparedness Day. Residents heard from Supervisor Amber Manfree, Napa Firewise, CAL FIRE, the Napa County Sheriff’s Office, OES, Berryessa CERT, and NBRID on wildfire mitigation, evacuation planning, and community resources.
